Application
This scholarship is for hospitality professionals who are currently employed in a Taranaki hospitality/foodservice workplace. It is intended to be used for continuing education in the area of hospitality. This may include New Zealand or international based education or training, or practical work experience that will benefit the professional and their place of work.

One Scholarship of up to $5000.

Who is Eligible?
A person who:

• Is a full-time hospitality/foodservice professional
• Has not received a similar award in the past three years

Application Requirements
Please include two copies of your information, one copy may be presented in a folder, bound etc the other copy should be secured by a paperclip (this can be a photocopy of your original submission). Any applications which do not meet the following criteria or are illegible will automatically be disqualified.

• Details of continuing education
• Letter of recommendation from Industry colleague
• A current Curriculum Vitae
• Paper (essay) on given topic

The successful applicant will
If requested, write a report or hold a workshop to be organised by the Halamoana Committee within six months of their completion of the award

The Judge will score the following:

• Presentation of application
• Industry-related work experience over past three years
  
• Professional development over past three years
• Letter of recommendation
• Curriculum vitae
• Paper (essay)
